BEAVER MOON ULTRA: edition vii : 21/11/2026

Welcome to the Beaver Moon Ultra VII. This isn't your standard marked-course race; this is a 9-hour test of grit, navigation, and timing on the rugged Isle of Purbeck. 

It's a Beaver Moon year - a Cold Moon edition would be very unpopular with your family plans for Xmas! 

The premise is simple: Keep on the move for the 9 hours and 10 mins alloted.

You’ll head out into the darkness of the Purbecks from Corfe Village. Once your feet hit the trail, the clock starts. You have exactly 9 hours and 10 minutes to traverse the moonlit trails, coastal paths, and hidden ridgeways of the Jurassic Coast.

Your goal? Devise a route that pushes your limits for 9 solid hours and brings you back to the infamous Castle square between 07:00-07:10

• Total Autonomy: You are the race director of your own route.

• Winter training: many have a specific 2027 race in the diary and aiming to test the kit, headspace and fitness

• DIY Navigation: There is no GPX file. That's for you to create. There are no waymarkers. If you can’t navigate the Purbecks by moonlight, stay at home. No loitering on the finish before 7am! The only rule! 

• The "Contraband" Stations: there will be 2 prominent locations. We might have something "luxurious" there. We might have nothing at all. Discovery is part of the session. Da water taps will  be highlighted in your brief package.

• The Kit: We provide the tracker; you provide the experience. If you have to ask what to pack, you shouldn't be entering. This event is for the self-sufficient, the prepared, and the slightly mad.

• The Reward: Success is met with the traditional annual token relevant to the Beaver Moon, Acclivity Mule and Furtive Mule.

• Purchase comes with a digital file to download. Follow that instruction

• Entry Includes: Event tracking for the duration and a unique 'finisher's' token, Contraband. Perhaps.

• The price has gone up. But at £30 it shall remain!

• All the specific details will be in your session brief. Including travel, post session cafe and water points. If you know, you know.
